LEXUS RX350

THE ALL NEW

LEXUS RX350

Lexus and Team One chose BKWLD to develop the first Flash launch site for lexus.com, featuring the new 2010 RX. The site uses a seamless blend of Flash, CGI, and After Effects to help “reinvent the vehicle that invented it all.” All of this led to massive online success for the site, where it garnered almost a quarter million visits on launch day alone.

GRAVIS FOOTWEAR

SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN

GRAVIS FOOTWEAR

Not looking to align themselves with your normal action-sports shoe and bag brand, we helped the Burton owned Gravis Footwear brand differentiate themselves. Using a blend of Flash, AS3 and some slick Papervision, our vision made the product the website's star. By not relying on the users lifestyle to define the vibe, we let Gravis define the vibe of the user's lifestyles.

2K SPORTS

CAUSE NOT ALL GAMERS ARE NERDS

2K SPORTS

As part of a new evolution in artistic direction, 2K Sports was in need of a website overhaul. We built a refreshing site, incorporating robust video players, live audio downloads, and a fully functional community of fans. These fresh ideas were built upon a loyalty to 2K Sports heavily influenced hip-hop roots.

Cufón speed test

We’re planning on using Cufón to a larger extent than we have before on our build for Gregory, which has to be localized in a number of languages.  Using a text replacer for the designed text will allow us to localize text without rendering out new gifs and pngs for every language and whenever copy [...]

Adobe’s Dweezlbug

Posted by: Jeff Toll

As of lately I’ve really been meaning to explore Photoshop CS4’s 3D tools. After researching the programs new native 3D tools, they seem to be much more powerful than I had initially imagined. I also was really impressed with Adobe’s latest promotional site “Meet Dweezlbug” where artists Genevieve Gauckler and Erick Natzke created a beautiful [...]

Little Snapper

Over the years, I’ve tried cataloging some of the inspirational things I find on the web. It’s been a bit of a labor of love since it’s not the most seamless process and takes forever. However, now that’s all changed. I installed Realmac Software’s web page capture software Little Snapper, and with a few key [...]

While busy working away on creative for Gregory’s 2009 product launches, and in desperate need of some seriously great photos, we needed to find someone who shared our vision and could deliver the exact imagery we needed. Enter über talented photographer Tim Kemple. We spent the last week hopping around Northern California with Tim and [...]

Cufón fooled you!

Posted by: Garrett Bjerkhoel

We have recently been using Cufón on some of our recent projects, most noticeably version 3 of our own site as well as Mering Carson, replacing sIFR which worked but was resource heavy as well as a cumbersome task of creating fonts. This has opened a lot of creative freedom for our creatives, knowing they [...]

Star Trek + AS3 + AIR = Awesome!

Posted by: Demetre Arges

Visual effects studio OOOii was given the opportunity to create the visual interfaces for JJ Abrams new Star Trek movie. Typically, this is all done in post production and the actors have to pretend they are interacting with a super computer from the future.
